Running or hiking
All four hundred hectares of the estate can be explored by walking or running through vineyards, olive orchards and along dirt roads bordered by forests or rows of cypress trees.
Cycling
Bicycles are available for La Pensione hotel guests to explore the Chianti hills. With its rollercoaster of ups and downs, it is a training ground for the brave.
Tasting
Restoration work may be preventing you from visiting the villa’s cellars, but you can still enjoy free wine and farm product tasting at our shop in Greve in Chianti: A welcoming little space opening onto the lively town piazza, where you can taste our products, page through a book or buy a gift.
Activities for children
The easy paths on the farm are ideal for family strolls! You will find books on the local fauna and flora on the bookshelves in Case al Prato and La Pensione Hotel reception area, so that you can identify all the birds and animals you will find on your walk.
Swimming
Both the hotel and farmhouses have swimming pools exclusively for guests staying on the estate.
Animals
Vignamaggio falls within a robust ecosystem populated by many local species of animals, insects and plants. During your stay you may see deer and wild boar, but you could also catch a glimpse of a hoopoe, an owl or a fallow deer.
